Just last week my daughter was sick and I had all day, so I rolled a Mesmer for some low level Noob PVP in factions. I ran a dancing dagger/entangling asp/ signet of toxic shock / empathy build. There were very few people playing so you got the same group of people playing mixed match all afternoon. I had a sin in my group talking up a storm trying for 1 vs.1 with a warrior on the other team. The warrior said “I am not afraid of you sin it’s that Mesmer over there that scares me”.

Yesterday I rolled a Thumper into RA, someone asked me why Rangers never carry bows. I told them mine was at the cleaners. they replied "oh sorry"

The funniest thing ever was the other day on pokerstars te otherday, sittin at a table we were all kinda shootint he breeze and outta nowhere this guy says:

"I'm being cremated at 4 oclock today"

dunno why, but at the time it was just plain funny.

If you don't mind me inserting an old-time D2 tale, back in D2 there was an option to send a whisper to your entire friends list at once. Sometimes people would accidentally send all-friends whispers when they meant to be having private discussions. The oddest and most disturbing went something like this:

Some Guy: "You should get <Brand X>! My GF and I use <Brand X> anal beads. They don't get stuck as much as other brands."

I promptly removed him from my f-list.

Ohh, here's a good one I get at least once every day when I'm playing guild wars.

They pm me saying, "Hi, Can you give me all your hero battle builds?"
Me: "Yes, 10k for builds+equipment"
Them: "Then I'll just go watch you and obs mode and get all your builds anyways."
Me: "You should've done that in the first place without pm'ing me then."
Them: no response.

People these days expect to get free builds? They can already copy obs mode builds for HvH. How much lazier can you get. -_-

Once in awhile I would get a random PM about how sexy my toon looks. Kinda creeps me out since I am a guy playing a a female toon.

It's also pretty creepy that you're a guy who plays "sexy" female toons

But then again since it's the norm for video gamers, it can't really be considered creepy.

I would like to be the happy friendly guy who gives free, working hero battle builds to random people who i completely do not know (kinda creepy), but I don't like giving them a build for free that I've spent countless hours perfectly just like that. If I know him then sure whatever, but to a complete stranger who thinks he can shortcut the whole learning process of understanding the uses of the skills on the bar just doesn't please me.

This is why I liked hero battles before observer mode, even though a certain build did dominate the ladder.

Actually it is all about looks for me. I have female and male toons. In my opinion female toons look better in armor. However there are some armor for male toons that look good as well. Reasons why I have a female and male warrior and a female and male ranger.

Well! I was too startled to respond. I was chatting with a lady friend at the time and relayed this to her and we both had a good laugh.

The almost poetical turns of phrase has made me always remember this incident.

I was playing Fort Aspenwood on my Monk (Luxon side). I found I ran into SP Sins and lots of Necro/Mez hexes, so made a new build. I ended up using [skill]Divert Hexes[/skill].

I had to laugh at the Mesmer I ran into though. Wish I would have paid attention to the hexes, to find out what his attributes were, but I was poisoned and bleeding from a Ranger, and ended up with the Mesmer casting the following on me, in this order.

[skill]Backfire[/skill][skill]Empathy[/skill][skill]Conjure Phantasm[/skill]

One divert and I lost all the hexes and conditions, and gained health.

As soon as I did that, the Mesmer started saying I was a hacker. LOL I found out later why he thought that. I wanded him for a 1 hit kill! Not really, but I wanded him at the same time the Siege Turtle hit him, and after I had removed Empathy (lol, on a Monk). When I said Divert FTW! in local chat, I only saw that Mez say one more thing.... and he had been talking the whole time. His response was:
